Meet Hannah

Hello and welcome to my website. I’ve been studying and working in the field of nutrition for 25 years and my professional qualifications include a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, a MSc in Nutrition, and a PhD in Health Sciences with a focus on infant nutrition. I blend my academic knowledge with life experience, empathy and a deep desire to help others improve their lives through positive behaviour changes in their relationship with food, and other aspects of wellness, such as sleep and stress.

Fundamentally, food isn’t just about health; it’s one of life’s joys and nourishes the soul. However, we live in a food environment that makes over-consumption incredibly easy: we’re surrounded by food noise and hyper-palatable snacks, so one of my roles as a nutrition coach is to help clients navigate this.

Like many who pursue nutrition as a career, my interest began when I noticed the impact of my food choices on my own body. In University, my attempt to survive on pasta, biscuits and cider didn’t end well and sparked a desire to dig deeper into how food affects us and why we eat what we do. Ultimately this led to a love of nutrition science and a desire to share my findings with others.

Evidence-based nutrition advice, tailored to you.

There’s a lot of nutrition information online, some is great but there are so many myths that won’t die, while other posts contain poorly reported science. It seems like everyone has an opinion about the “right” dietary approach, so my goal is to cut through the nonsense, bust a few myths along the way and show that healthy eating, improving your relationship with food and fuelling for sport doesn’t have to involve cutting out entire food groups, a life of restriction or a bucket of expensive supplements.

My training and experience in both complementary and traditional nutrition gives me a unique perspective on what really works and what’s pseudoscience. Of the wealth of nutrition information available online, trying to discern what’s evidence-based and what’s not supported by science can feel like a full-time job.

This is where my individual skillset makes a real difference. I’m able to offer well-informed, balanced advice that’s not only grounded in science, but perhaps most importantly, tailored to your unique circumstances, lifestyle, and personal preferences.
